Grab a drink, some snacks and settle in for a complimentary evening of Flamenco guitar in the La Bodega bar, as we celebrate International Flamenco Day with an intimate performance by guitarist, Jonathan Byrd.

 

Jonathan ‘Black’ Byrd is something of a maverick figure in London’s flamenco scene, an original artist with a unique style born from the traditions of Andalusia and his own gypsy roots.

Established as London’s leading Spanish restaurant guitarist, Jonathan is one of the very few to carry the tradition of the solo guitar performer.

Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the thrills and skills of this incredible guitarist.

I love flamenco shows and my visit to Battersea Spanish was the first time that I watched the dance up close instead of sitting away from the stage. I could see the feet tapping heels and toes and felt the passion of the dancers. The singer and the guitarist were both brilliant. The whole evening was very enjoyable. I have had my 'Flamenco fix'. The bar staff were very friendly and they went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I would go back and watch flamenco shows again and even enrol myself for the classes.

Very friendly and intimate venue - appropriate for tablao flamenco. Superb performances by all four participants - 2 dancers, brilliant vocalist and outstanding guitarist. Better than any flamenco shows I've seen at larger West End venues.
