La Bodega
La Bodega is our very own in-house Tapas Bar, serving authentic Spanish Tapas and drinks from across the Spanish-speaking world in a very friendly and relaxed environment.
As part of what is one of London's best known Spanish language and cultural centres, La Bodega regularly hosts social events to promote Spanish language and culture, including Cocktails & Spanish Conversation nights (Friday nights), Coffee and Spanish conversation (Saturday mornings), Social Salsa evenings, live music performances and even our amazing Flamenco Juergas (jam sessions) and Flamenco shows..
Directions : 263-265 Battersea Park Road - but note that our buiding is not visible from the main road ! We are located directly behind Tesco Express, next to the Doddington Estate plaza. Once you reach the entrance to Tesco, we are just round the corner!
Weekly Bar Opening Hours and Food Service
- Monday and Tuesday: 17:30 to 22:00. Kitchen closed.
- Wednesday to Friday: 17:30 to 23.00. Food served 18.00 to 21.30
- Saturday: Mornings - 09:00 to 13.30. Evenings - open when we have have organised events. Refer to Listings..
- Sunday: Closed (except for organised events or private bookings)
Note : During Flamenco shows, gigs and other special events, our normal menu is suspended and only a set menu is available. Please refer to the relevant event information page for details.

Our event nights are very popular, and we are often fully booked both for the event itself, and for table reservations. As a result, table reservations are only accepted for those ordering food.
We have seating for 36 in the bar, plus outdoor tables when the weather is suitable. All tables in our bar accommodate 4 to 6 persons (plus one big table for 12). If there are less than 4 in your party, you will be asked to share a table on busy nights.

Bar Rules :
- No food or drink to be brought in from outside and consumed on the premises at any time.
- No dogs allowed inside (but welcome at our outside tables, if well behaved)
- Please respect our neighbours and local community by keeping noise to reasonable levels when outside and when departing
Food
La Bodega provides a friendly and welcoming space to enjoy authentic Spanish Tapas. In the true spirit of Spanish bars, some people pop in for just a quick dish or two, and others make a night of it, exploring the whole menu. Our Tapas menu has been designed by Angel, our resident chef from Madrid, to take you on a culinary expedition across the whole of Spain, and from Monday-Thursday Angel is there in person to talk you through his personal recommendations.
All food and drinks must be ordered at the bar, and your Tapas is then cooked in front of you, and served as soon as each dish is ready. Please allow 20-60 minutes for your food to be prepared, depending on how busy we are.
Our full menu is below - but note that like most Tapas bars in Spain our menu changes from day to day, depending on the availability of ingredients, with highly recommended daily specials offered in addition to our most popular standards. Not every item on our menu is available every day.
On nights we are hosting big events such as Flamenco Shows or large parties, it can get extremely busy in the bar, so we offer a restricted set menu only.. Please refer to the specific event listing to check what food will be on offer at each event. Often we will prepare large communal dishes such as Paella and serve it "street-market" style on event nights.
This venue is an absolute gem. Firstly a visit to the tapas bar ‘La Bodega’ is an absolute must. Best to get there early as it gets quite busy. The seafood tapas was to die for, which we washed down with Sangria! We loved the film, shown in a small, intimate theatre, which was absolutely fine. Really looking forward to visiting this place again.
What an absolute hidden gem you wouldn’t have a clue this was here. Food was great the BEST tortilla I’ve ever had, including in Spain. Staff were absolutely FABULOUS super friendly and super efficient. My first time most certainly won’t be my last.
Drinks
Our bar offers delicious cocktails, cava, wines, beers and spirits from across Spain and Latin America. We also serve high-quality coffees, speciality teas, and of course soft drinks..
Never had a Pisco Sour? Our friendly bar team will be delighted to prepare for you this wonderful South American cocktail, or other popular classics from the Spanish- speaking world,such as a Margarita, Mojito or Bandarra al fresco!
If cocktails are not your thing, don't worry! We've collaborated with a specialist Spanish wine supplier to provide a delicious and very reasonably-priced selection of Spanish and South American wines, as well as cava, vermouth and a host of Spain's most popular beers.
Private hire
Our self-contained bar, La Bodega, is available for private hire for birthday parties, receptions, work parties and other celebrations.

Events
We hold regular social Spanish events in our bar which are free of charge and open to the public as well as students on our courses. These include Cocktails & Spanish Conversation every Friday from 6-8pm, Coffee & Spanish Conversation every Saturday morning 10:45 -12:45, and Social Salsa nights from 8.30pm every Friday/ .
Our bar also hosts amazing "Juergas" (Flamenco live jam sessions from musicians, performers and dancers) and other live music events.
