Tango for Experienced Dancers - Drop-in classes with Emma Reyes - Every Monday from 19.30 to 20.30

Welcome to our weekly drop-in class aimed at the more experienced tango dancer.

If you are thinking about attending this class, you should already be familiar with advanced tango figures such as sacadas, boles and ganchos, and be dancing regularly in milongas. Sounds like you? Well, you've come to the right place!

We will look in detail at the solo technique necessary to become an advanced dancer. If you already consider yourself an advanced dancer this is your weekly practice to help maintain good body technique.

After warming up the body we will deconstruct a figure or sequence but from a conceptual perspective. This is a participatory class you will be encouraged to bring yourself and an open and exploratory mind. The class has a workshop feel to it and is facilitated by Emma Lucia Reyes, social dancing assistants and visiting teachers from Europe and Argentina.

Your instructor

Emma Lucia Reyes is a UK Argentine Tango Championship finalist 2024 and winner of UK tango ambassadors cup 2023. She is a passionate and experienced teacher with 10 years teaching tango in schools and festivals in UK and Europe.

Emma loves nothing more than to inspire confidence in beginners through to helping more advanced students find their own style. Her classes focus on body technique, expression and communication within the couple.

Performing regularly in London she has also written and directed tango shows which use the unique language of Argentine tango to create contemporary narratives and immersive experiences. Highlights include ‘Auto/Erotic Tango’ premiering at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024 and ‘Histoire Du Tango’ Bloomsbury Festival 2023.

Payment Options and How it Works

Our dance classes can all be booked individually each week, allowing the maximum of flexibility and last-minute bookings. Simply add to basket and proceed to checkout.

Can I attend a different class, if I booked online but then am unable to attend?

If you contact us in advance to inform us you will not be coming, we can move your class booking to another week. No refunds can be given for no-shows, where you do not attend classes that you booked.

What happens if the instructor is ill, or the class is cancelled?

If we have to cancel a class for any reason, an extra class will be provided free of charge, or you can have a refund for the cancelled class.

We do not have showers or dedicated changing facilities - but we do have La Bodega, our very own Latin wine and Tapas bar on site, which serves Spanish and Latin American drinks - why not join us for a tasty drink before or after your class?
