These dance trial lessons are available for learners who wish to try us out before committing to our courses. When you book your trial class you must enter in the booking notes the exact course and date you wish to attend.
Please note that the lesson is not transferrable to any other date, and no refunds can be given for non-attendance after you have booked. Please also note that only 1 trial class per level can be booked.
If you wish to join a course after your trial session, the cost of the trial class will be deducted from the course fees, as well as any lessons you might have already missed. You can therefore try a class and join at any point in the term - subject to your level being sufficient.
To aid understanding, the levels offered at Battersea Spanish from January 2024 are as follows:
Foundation, Beginner, Elementary, Improvers
Each level will run 4 times per year, and where possible we will offer continuity of days/times from one term to the next, although this depends on bookings and is not guaranteed.
If you are new to Flamenco dance you need to enrol in the Foundation course, and if you already have a foundation, in the Elementary Level course.
Level progression: Apart from Foundation Level, our students will typically complete each level 3 times on average before moving onto the next level - but you will always continue to learn and polish your moves. Progress is very individual, and the most important thing is to enjoy the process at your own speed of development. Once they know you, our experienced instructors will be able to tell you which level you should book in the future to continue your studies with us.
Important Notice – we would love you to book with us, but please make sure that you will be free to attend the course/activity you are booking. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund fees paid, in full or in part, or to re-allocate them to another booking or a different date. This condition applies to all our courses and our events, for any reason other than force majeure, or our failure to deliver the course/activity we publicised - in which case you will be refunded in full. I absolutely love the Spanish centre, particularly the flamenco classes - Lourdes and Carlos are brilliant! I'll carry on forever, the more flamenco the better!
A wonderful place I keep coming back to again and again. The staff are sooo friendly. I eat, drink, visit flamenco shows, watch films, and now have the most enjoyable Spanish lessons I’ve had so far. And my partner learns flamenco here, so an extra excuse to come and drink and eat even more superb food and enjoy good company in a relaxing Spanish atmosphere. If you’re interested in Spanish people and culture, you really have to visit.
Attended such a fun and enjoyable flamenco workshop in the afternoon and then watched an amazing professional show in the evening at this fabulous Spanish cultural centre in Battersea last Saturday. Such a friendly and welcoming place and event. Indulged in delicious tapas and drinks at the onsite restaurant. Already booked for next month's event. Highly recommended.
