Adrian Sola - Guitarra (guitar)

He is also an accomplished and sought-after accompanist for the traditions of dance and singing. Born in Barcelona, Adrian showed an early interest in all kinds of music and borrowed his father's guitar around 12 years old - a hobby at first ,it became almost a necessity soon after his teenage years to understand how music works in a more rational way, and so he enrolled at The Modern Music School of Badalona to study musical language, harmony, jazz flute and flamenco guitar.

Notes on venue and seating arrangements

The show is performed in our ground-floor Performance Studio. This space has hosted numerous famous Flamenco artists from both the UK and Spain over the last 6 years. The studio provides a small, very intimate venue, with seating for a maximum of 60 people. The room has a professional PA system and a sprung dance floor. As this is a multi-use performance space there is no raised stage or tiered seating. Seating is arranged flexibly on the day to best suit the number who have booked to attend, but is usually in a U shape around the artists.

Seats are not numbered or pre-allocated. We can only reserve seating for those who notify us in advance that they have a disability. Once we open the doors to the Studio, the audience enters in a line and then everybody finds their preferred seat from those available. Please, however, be sympathetic to those with the greatest need to have a seat of their choice.

Coats and bags can be left in a temporary cloakroom upstairs, but note this room is not secure or monitored during the show, and valuables should not be left there.

Have a drink too!

Entrance to the show is via our on-site Tapas Bar, La Bodega, which will be open for drinks from 6pm to 10.30pm. We serve a wide range of Spanish wines, beers, spirits and cocktails from across Spain and Latin America, as well as soft drinks. Interval drinks can be pre-ordered at the bar before the show, to avoid the rush.

Note on payments - our bar is cashless, so all purchases must be paid by card.

Very friendly and intimate venue - appropriate for tablao flamenco. Superb performances by all four participants - 2 dancers, brilliant vocalist and outstanding guitarist. Better than any flamenco shows I've seen at larger West End venues.

Stella
Flamenco audience

Phenomenal show of “Gaditano” talent. Mesmerised by finger work and sound of the flamenco guitar. Delightful performance of male flamenco dancer, incredibly flexible, agile, and spellbinding performance and great passion and vocal range from the singer demonstrating flamenco and its influences from Cadiz, Triana, Argentina, Cuba, Africa and Mexico to name a few. A cultural and musical delight in two 40 min sections. Not to mention the warm, community, welcoming atmosphere of drinks and paella, cooked freshly in view. A real gem of an evening.

What people have to say

A wonderful place I keep coming back to again and again. The staff are sooo friendly. I eat, drink, visit flamenco shows, watch films, and now have the most enjoyable Spanish lessons I’ve had so far. And my partner learns flamenco here, so an extra excuse to come and drink and eat even more superb food and enjoy good company in a relaxing Spanish atmosphere. If you’re interested in Spanish people and culture, you really have to visit.

Attended such a fun and enjoyable flamenco workshop in the afternoon and then watched an amazing professional show in the evening at this fabulous Spanish cultural centre in Battersea last Saturday. Such a friendly and welcoming place and event. Indulged in delicious tapas and drinks at the onsite restaurant. Already booked for next month's event. Highly recommended.
