New ownership - but same wonderful premises and community!
We are delighted to announce that the well-loved Battersea Spanish is being relaunched after a very short period of closure – now under new ownership, but housed in the same fabulous premises as before and with an outstanding team of teachers and instructors that includes faces both old and new.
With effect from 14th August 2023, Professional Language Solutions Ltd (PLS), legally took on the ownership and running of what has been, for many years, South London’s most popular hub for Spanish and Latin American cultural activities. We pay tribute to the fantastic staff and vision that have created such an exciting brand, and we hope you will join us now on the next stage in the exciting journey of Battersea Spanish.
PLS will be bringing plenty of know-how and expertise to the party. We are one of London’s most established language training providers, with a successful 30+ year track record and multiple accreditations from industry and government bodies. We also have extensive experience of teaching Spanish (and indeed other languages) to students of all profiles, from complete beginners to the very highest and most demanding requirements, such as training the Spanish-speaking Ambassadors for the Foreign Office.
From the 21st August, the new Battersea Spanish will reopen the doors of its beloved casita on Battersea Park Road for dynamic and fun evening language classes, as well as Saturday kids' club and amazing Flamenco dance lessons.

The Autumn term of Spanish lessons will begin week commencing 9th October. Our Flamenco Autumn classes will appear on our website very soon and will restart week commencing 25th September.
We understand the heart and soul of the Battersea Spanish brand has always been its unique sense of community and events, and we will ensure this is upheld, as well as increasing the range of daytime offerings to cement Battersea Spanish as one of London’s liveliest social and cultural language hubs. We are committed to the ethos of a community of learners and friends, as well as maintaining the academic philosophy of language for practical communication, ensuring lessons continue to be fun and engaging while also opening doors to these fascinating countries.
As with all fresh starts, there are sad goodbyes amongst the joyous welcomes. This includes the owners of the popular Tapas Room restaurant at Battersea Spanish, who have decided not to re-open their business after the enforced closure. As a result, this lovely space will initially be used as part of the school’s general facilities, while we explore options and possible partnerships for the future. All other rooms in the building retain the same beautiful taste and décor as before.
