For Spanish Courses

Payment of Course fees

All courses must be paid for at the time of booking. It is not possible to register for a course without paying.

Refunds

Once course fees are paid we cannot offer refunds in any circumstances - either for individual lessons that are missed, or for non-attendance at multiple lessons (even if such absence is known in advance). This is because the decision to run the course has been confirmed to all participants based on the numbers enrolled and paid.

To avoid any ambiguity, this applies to all reasons for student non-attendance, including sickness of yourself or others, transport strikes, relocation or any other personal reasons. The only exceptions are in the case of Force Majeure, or if our centre is unable to open as scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a credit for the missed lesson will be provided.

In any circumstances where we decide not to launch a course that has been advertised, and for which a student has registered, an alternative course will be proposed, but if that is not acceptable, a full refund will be given.

Deferrals/Group Changes

We can only accept deferrals (ie crediting a payment you have already made for one term.to a term starting at a later date), if this is communicated to us more than 2 weeks before the original scheduled start date, and if it is accepted in writing by the school's management.

Also note that due to high levels of booking of our courses, it is very unlikely that we will be able to accommodate requests for group changes after you have registered and paid - therefore please ensure the schedule you choose really does work for you!.

Levels and Progress

In terms of proficiency level, if you are unsure of your level after having done our online test, please contact us to arrange a short phone consultation before placing your order, as we will be unable to accommodate changes later, as noted above.

There is an expectation for students to try and keep up with the level of the group, by making reasonable efforts to attend and by completing work set by teachers. This is to avoid negative impact on the learning of other students in the group. If our teachers deem that a student has fallen too far behind, either because of missing too many lessons or not completing the work set, we will liaise with the student to propose a catch-up strategy, but if this is rejected we reserve the right to withdraw this student from attending the course, with no refund or other compensation linked to this action.

To ensure students can all keep up even if they have to miss lessons, we offer 1:1 Catch-up Lessons with the same class teacher, at a discounted rate for those in the group.
