Summer is the absolutely proper time to learn how to cook (and eat!) paella like it should be done: a la leña (wood fired). Award winning Spanish Chef Demi has prepared an amazing event for us, where we will get to learn and practice all the stages of making a delicious paella (caldo, sofrito, picada, cocción) while learning very important and useful tips to recreate this legendary dish at home.
And good news for the sweet tooth: he will also teach us how to make the iconic and delicious dessert Crema Catalana! Demi comes from three generations of one of the most recognised pastry chefs families in Catalonia, so this is sure to be a treat.
While we cook we will enjoy delicious nibbles (what Spaniards call pica pica– bite bite), wine and music; and after the cooking class is completed, we will seat al fresco in our tropical garden to enjoy the delicious fruits of our hard work.
The space to this event is limited and it will sure sell out, so please book today to avoid disappointment.
It is important to bring an apron. You can bring your own, or book a ticket that includes a lovingly designed Battersea Spanish paella one
