Event Description

Join our monthly Interactive Storytelling and immerse your child in a universe of fantasies, tales and action that are a sure combination to have your child engaged and learning for the duration of the session!

The Spanish storytelling sessions happen one Saturday a month and are designed for children between the ages of 3 to 9. We welcome children of all levels of Spanish and we assure you that every single child will stretch their oral and listening capacities, as well as their vocabulary and confidence with the language.

A different tale will be chosen each month. The sessions will start with a very visual presentation of the key vocabulary that the children will be putting into practice throughout the session.

As as well as educational, these sessions will provide opportunity for active learning, play and creativity. Children will learn using drama, music, movement and craft activities.

If you’re a Battersea Spanish member don’t forget to use your 10% discount!

Check out our other classes for kids including a immersive cooking classes for kids and our weekly Saturday Creative School. You can find all kids classes here.

Luis Edoardo Torres

edoardo¡Hola! My name is Luis Edoardo, and I was born in Nuevo Laredo Mexico, in the frontier with the US. I have always been an enthusiastic reader. I started writing poetry and plays because I wanted to be like Federico García Lorca one day. For 10 years I collaborated with a literary magazine and had the opportunity to meet and learn from many great Latin American writers. My plays have been published in different anthologies, staged several times and translated to English and German. I have also been teaching Spanish and literature to young people and adults for over 5 years, both in Mexico and the UK. These experiences motivated me to study for a master’s degree in Education of the Arts in Roehampton University. Some of my best professional experiences have been working in the Centre for the promotion of Literature, “Estación Palabra-Gabriel García Márquez” and being the coordinator of our very popular monthly Spanish Book Club where I can share my two passions: teaching and literature.
