If you love good food and good films you can’t miss our monthly Tapas & Film events! Every month we will screen an amazing Spanish or Latin American film (with English subtitles, no worries!) and you will be able to match it with the delicious food and drinks of our in house tapas bar The Tapas Room. The Tapas Room is one of London’s best tapas restaurants, with 5 locations across town.
How does this work?
The film event happens between 7pm and 9:30pm, so you can either eat and drink before the film, or after the film. Please allow yourself at least 1 hour for the meal.
You can secure your booking at The Tapas Room here (please note that the food and drinks are no included in the ticket price).
And of course make sure to book your film ticket right away as this is a very popular event and it will sell out quickly!
About this month’s film:
The Good Boss (“El buen patrón”) is a 2021 Spanish comedy film directed and written by Fernando León de Aranoa and starring Javier Bardem. The film received a record-breaking 20 nominations to the 36th Goya Awards, winning 6 (Best Picture, Director, Actor, amongst others). Led by Javier Bardem’s charismatic performance and writer-director Fernando León de Aranoa’s sharp humor, “The Good Boss” takes place in and around the Blancos Básculas factory, where all things must be in balance at all times. After all, they manufacture scales of all shapes and sizes. There, the seemingly benevolent boss, Bardem’s Blanco, is preparing his workforce for an upcoming inspection by a group visiting local businesses to select one for a prestigious prize. Tensions begin to mount, however, when recently fired employee Jose shows up with his two children and begins making demands for the reinstatement of his employment. When Blanco’s management team refuses, the employee begins a one man crusade to discredit Blanco and prevent him from winning the much-coveted award.
