Come join this spectacular Live Flamenco Night in Battersea, curated in collaboration with internationally renowned London-based artist Maria Vega. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, this November 10th we are adding a little Jazz to the mix, to create a truly unique sound – not to be missed!
Whilst Flamenco today is world-wide, it flourished in the south. Europe and Africa met under the sweltering Andalusian heat; a coming-together of worlds that created music like no other, weaving timeless tales of love and loss into its songs. Centuries later, the south of the United States also started to change, its fractured history gradually revealing a rich tapestry of cultures and musical fusions. It bore Jazz; soaring melodies of heartache and hope, similar to the same passion and urgency still coming out of the bars and cafes of Granada, Seville and Cadiz.
This November, we bring the two together. Two souths, two souls and an infinite number of stories…
Taking place at the atmospheric Battersea Barge overlooking the River Thames, we promise a night for absolutely everyone, from dancers to music lovers, young, old, beginner or pro! Battersea Barge is only a 10-minute walk from Vauxhall tube station, in Nine Elms.
