Event Description

Join us in this one-off event designed for students of Spanish of all levels!

Our amazing Mexican teacher Edoardo will be hosting this Film & Conversation Night online event for students to discuss based on the award winning Mexican film “Roma”, directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

Students will watch the film in advance in Netflix, and will meet for a 60-minute chat over zoom. A conversation guide per level will be provided and students will be paired with similar level peers, so that they can comfortably chat based on their skills. Please feel free to join us with a delicious margarita or tequilita from the comfort of your home!

The amount of students is limited in order to assure the quality of the event, so please book today in order to avoid disappointment!

Frequently Asked Questions

Luis Edoardo Torres

edoardo¡Hola! My name is Luis Edoardo, and I was born in Nuevo Laredo Mexico, in the frontier with the US. I have always been an enthusiastic reader, writer and educator. I started writing poetry and plays because I wanted to be like Federico García Lorca one day. For 10 years I collaborated with a literary magazine and had the opportunity to meet and learn from many great Latin American writers. My plays have been published in different anthologies, staged several times and translated to English and German. These experiences motivated me to study for a master’s degree in Education of the Arts in Roehampton University. I have also been teaching Spanish and literature to young people and adults for over 6 years, both in Mexico, the UK and more recently Greece. I can’t wat to meet you in class! ¡Hasta pronto!
