Special Flamenco workshops- MantónPrice range 25.00 - 40.00
These monthly Special Flamenco workshops are taught from our studios in Battersea by experts in specific flamenco skills. They are designed for dancers of all levels, as an opportunity to expand their knowledge of different elements that are fundamental to enrich the flamenco learning journey.
- Level 1 & 2 (beginners and improvers) workshops have a duration of 1 hour.
This hour-long workshop covers the fundamentals of Mantón technique. You will work on exercises to move and dance with the Mantón, incorporating it into movements and marcajes you already know. You will learn short sequences to put the technique into practice. Suitable for dancers who have never learned Mantón in the past, or have limited experience dancing with it.
- Level 3, 4 and 5 (intermediate to advanced) workshops have a duration of 1.5 hours, and are comprised of technique and choreography.
This 1.5hr workshop is for dancers who already have some experience dancing with the Mantón or normally dance at Level 4 or 5. You will work on technique for proper placement, gaining strength and coordination and learning to execute more complex movements with the Mantón. You will then integrate these movements into a short choreography phrase por Soleá.
Please note that you must bring your own mantón to these workshops.
We highly recommend that you book a seat as soon as you can in order to avoid disappointment, as our courses fill up very fast!
