Flamenco as an art form oozes passion and seductiveness. Originating in Andalucia, Spain, it has been danced for nearly 500 years, retaining all of its beauty and tradition throughout. This online flamenco course means that you can enjoy this learning journey from anywhere in the world!
This is a course designed for students who have a solid base and understanding of the fundamentals of flamenco, and have danced for a length of at least one year.
In this 1- hour x 8-sessions all round course you will:
- Receive personalised input and feedback at every step of your progress.
- Work on furthering your flamenco technique, which will help you to deepen your understanding of flamenco and progress with your dancing.
- Improve posture and alignment, rhythm and musicality, all in a very caring and warm learning environment.
- Develop your footwork. Footwork will be adapted as we understand not everyone has neighbours who love flamenco as much as you do! Video tutorials will be provided to allow you to work on footwork on your own time.
For those who may have missed a class or are looking to brush up on their techniques at home, video tutorials specific to your class will be available on a weekly basis.
These classes will be taught online using the learning platform Zoom (you need a good internet connection and a computer with camera). A link will be sent for you to join the virtual classroom. It's all very easy, and the good news is that you can join us from anywhere in the world! (UK time for lessons).
