Course Description

This is a 4-session course designed for students who have completed our Beginner 3 (A1.3) course and feel they need to solidify the understanding of key grammatical elements and sentence construction before moving on to learn new content. This course is also opened to new students who wish to improve their understanding of:

- reflexive verbs
- grouping of present tense irregularities
- verbs like gustar and reactions (a mí sí, a mí no; as opposed to yo sí, yo no, etc)
- ing in English versus Spanish (I am eating- estoy comiendo, - I am going to eat- voy a comer)

After this course, you will be 100% ready to join our Pre-Intermediate 1 (A2.1) course. This course will be working mostly on structure understanding, production, and grammatical comprehension (always with very interactive exercises). We highly reccommend that you complement this course with one that furthers your speaking and gives you lots of vocabulary. We have the perfect solution! Lola says (works mostly on reading, speaking and listening) or the vocabulary booster Spanish in a suitcase! (concentrates more specifically into learning words in context).

Learning Spanish in London obviously takes longer than if you were to study abroad, so be sure to supplement your courses with any one of our events that will help you to learn the language and love the culture!

¡Hola! Born and brought up in the beautiful and (mostly) sunny city of Madrid. I studied Psychology at the Univerdad Complutense de Madrid which included a year in Berlin, a city not known for being sunny (especially in winter). Despite the change in temperature I really enjoyed my time there experiencing a new way of life in a new city. After graduation, I began teaching Spanish and English as both a volunteer and private tutor. My passion for teaching developed quickly and after completing my Certificate in Spanish Language Teaching among others training I decided to continue my career in London. I love being in the classroom and I’m always looking into new ways to make lessons as interesting, formative and inspiring as possible. Outside the classroom I love walking in the English countryside, life music and sitting down in front of my sewing machine. I look forward to seeing you soon ¡Hasta pronto!
