Spanish for Beginners aka Beginner 1 is perfect for those with no prior skills, or perhaps just a few clever Spanish phrases… During these Spanish lessons you will learn:

  • to introduce yourself
  • to greet and open conversations in Spanish
  • to ask and answer basic questions (phone number, email, hobbies, nationality, etc)
  • to describe professions, physical and personality traits of people and family
  • to acquire information in class

This Spanish course spans 15 hours of Spanish study in 10 weeks.

It covers A1.1 in the Common European Framework. See the entire curriculum here to know what comes next!

Learning Spanish in London obviously takes longer than if you were to study abroad, so be sure to supplement your courses with any one of our events that will help you to learn the language and love the culture!

Miguel Garcia

Ever since I was a child in Murcia (Spain), I have always been passionate about languages, literature and culture. I studied English at the University of Murcia and the University of Leeds, and afterwards moved to the US to do a Master’s in Spanish literature and Teaching Modern Languages. I returned to London to study a PhD at Royal Holloway on the works of Federico García Lorca, and I currently do research on Spanish literature and cinema, especially on the films of Pedro Almodóvar and new contemporary Spanish filmmakers. I am also an avid writer of poetry and fiction in Spanish and English. Being a Spanish teacher allows me to share my heritage and passions with students while providing a fun and enriching experience. Stick with me and you might get to try some delicious Spanish tortilla!
